Description
An account of the resource
We describe our experience with prenatal diagnosis of tetralogy of Fallot with supracardiac totally anomalous pulmonary venous connection. We also suspected obstruction In the ascending vertical vein as it crossed the right bronchus and coursed Superiorly to join the right superior caval vein. This finding was confirmed on postnatal echocardiography, and at autopsy.

Description
An account of the resource
Prenatal diagnosis of partial anomalous pulmonary venous connection (PAPVC) is rare. We describe a case in which the diagnosis was made at 24 weeks' gestation. The fetus had a double-outlet right ventricle, mitral atresia, a subaortic ventricular septal defect, and normally related great arteries with valvar pulmonary atresia. There was PAPVC of the left pulmonary veins to an enlarged coronary sinus. The different pulsed Doppler patterns in the individual right and left pulmonary veins allowed us to make the correct diagnosis of the PAPVC. There were multiple other congenital anomalies with intrauterine growth restriction and polyhydramnios. In utero death occurred at 38 weeks' gestation, and the cardiac diagnosis was confirmed on postmortem examination. Postmortem chromosomal analysis revealed trisomy 18.
