The article focuses on the conceptualization of life design in the 21st century. It emphasizes the involvement of life design in career intervention during the said period and notes its role as a paradigm in developing career intervention changes among career practitioners' clients. It says that clients has viewed life design as authors of autobiographical stories that helps reflect life themes for individuals' career construction. It suggests the application of career intervention in helping practitioners identify career education and occupational fitness for their clients' needs and social context. Furthermore, it notes the value of modernity's guidance, postmodernity's design and modernity's education in life design.
